| Austria | A Eurail Global Pass is valid with the national railway company ÖBB, on the Austrian part of the railway lines operated by ROeEE/Raaberbahn, on the domestic IC bus connections (reservation recommended), and on the Austrian part of the MICOTRA-line Villach-Tarvisio. A pass for Austria is also valid on WESTbahn. However, there is no regular First class available. Passholders can buy an upgrade to PLUS class on the train for an additional fee. Also valid on the OBB bus network with OBB Intercitybus. A reservation is recommended on some routes. | Belgium | A Eurail Global Pass is valid with the national railway company NMBS/SNCB, and on Thalys trains to/from Paris, Germany and the Netherlands (reservation compulsory). A pass is also valid on Eurostar to London (reservation compulsory). An extra "Diabolo" surcharge applies to passholders travelling from/to Brussels Airport and is paid either at ticket offices or on board. |
